Archangel Michael Chapel in Western Attica Remains Unscathed After Wildfire

A wildfire swept through Western Attica, Greece, turning much of the area into ash. A motorbike driver recorded the scene, showing the devastation around a small chapel dedicated to Archangel Michael.

Despite the surrounding destruction, the chapel and its interior – icons, candles and oil – were intact, with nearby trees still green. The driver described the sight as a miracle, and the video attracted millions of views and widespread comment online. Firefighters had been battling the blaze for days, and the worst of the fire has now passed.
