Archbishop Alessandro Damiano names new priests in Agrigento

Archbishop Alessandro Damiano announced a series of pastoral reassignments for the Archdiocese of Agrigento, to take effect in September. The changes include: - Don Giuseppe Agrò appointed rector of the Archdiocesan Seminary. - Don Marco Farruggia assigned to the parish of Maria Ausiliatrice in Canicattì while retaining his role as director of the Missionary Office. - Don Antonio Lalicata given charge of the SS. Crocifisso parish in Canicattì. - Don Calogero Morgante transferred to the parishes of Sacro Cuore di Gesù and Santa Gemma in Agrigento. - Don Giuseppe Vecchio appointed pastor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Fatima and Blessed Virgin Mary of the Carmine parishes in Agrigento. Other priests were reassigned to various communities across the diocese. The archbishop thanked the clergy for their willingness to serve and called on the faithful to pray for the Church in Agrigento. Further appointments will be announced in the coming days.
