Archbishop Charles Scicluna to lead September 2026 liturgical celebrations
Archbishop Charles Scicluna will lead a series of liturgical celebrations throughout September 2026 across Malta. The Archdiocese of Malta will broadcast daily masses at 9:30 am on various platforms, including TVM+, Knisja.mt, and Newsbook Malta. Sunday broadcasts will also be available via RTK 103 radio and the Archdiocese’s social media channels.
Key events include the 75th anniversary of the crowning of the painting of Our Lady of Grace in Żabbar on September 6, and the 300th anniversary of the arrival of the statue of the Virgin Mary in Naxxar on the same day. Other scheduled services include a perpetual profession rite in Ħamrun on September 8, an investiture of three priests in Mdina on September 19, and a state pontifical mass for Independence Day at St. John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta on September 21.
