Archbishop Claudio Maniago leads prayer vigil in Catanzaro urging respect for human dignity
A prayer vigil was held at the Santa Teresa di Gesù Bambino parish in Giovino, Catanzaro, focusing on the respect for every person's dignity and the rejection of all forms of discrimination, including homotransphobia. The event was presided over by Archbishop Claudio Maniago, metropolitan archbishop of the Archdiocese of Catanzaro‑Squillace.
During the gathering, Maniago called the faithful to recognize the inviolable dignity of every individual, urging a continual conversion of heart and spirit. He stressed that all discrimination, including that based on sexual orientation, violates human dignity and must be opposed through words, actions and legislation, positioning the Church as a supportive presence for those who feel excluded.
