Archbishop Elpidophoros calls for support of Greek foreign policy

Archbishop Elpidophoros of America has issued a message of support for Greek foreign policy, urging the Greek diaspora to maintain national unity. Speaking at an event commemorating October 28th at the Stathakion Cultural Center in Astoria, the Archbishop expressed confidence in the actions of Greece's political leadership and diplomacy.

In the presence of Greek Foreign Minister Georgos Gestiretitis, Elpidophoros criticized individuals who spread rumors or make public accusations regarding sensitive national issues, particularly on social media. He noted that government officials and diplomats often possess information that is not available to the general public, stating that it is unwise to judge national strategy without access to the full set of data.

The Archbishop emphasized that the Church and diaspora organizations remain ready to support Greece, stressing the importance of trusting the homeland and preserving unity on critical national matters.
