Archbishop Giuseppe Baturi leads Saint Eusebio feast at Vercelli Cathedral

On Saturday 1 August, a large crowd gathered in Vercelli Cathedral for the solemn pontifical Mass celebrating Saint Eusebio, patron of Vercelli and Piedmont.

The Mass was presided by Archbishop Giuseppe Baturi, Archbishop of Cagliari and secretary‑general of the Italian Episcopal Conference, underscoring the historic link between Vercelli and Sardinia, the saint’s birthplace. He co‑celebrated with Archbishop Marco Arnolfo of Vercelli and several other bishops (Franco Lovignana of Aosta, Luciano Pacomio, Gabriele Mana, Roberto Farinella, Francesco Ravinale). Baturi’s homily emphasized remembering Christ and love. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of gifts and an invitation for a reciprocal visit by Vercelli clergy.
