Archbishop Ieronimos Celebrates Name Day at Mylesi Monastery

Archbishop Ieronimos of Athens and all Greece marked his name day on 15 June with a divine liturgy at the Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior – Saint Porphyrius in Mylesi, attended by clergy, local officials and faithful. The service was led by Bishop John of Skiathos and co‑celebrated by bishops of Chrysoupoli, Varna and Epidaurus, who highlighted the saint’s spiritual legacy.

Greek religious calendars noted the saints commemorated on 15 June, including Saint Ieronimos, Saint Augustus, Saint Vitus and others, while the 16 June calendar listed Saint Memorion and Saint Tycho among its observances. These daily listings are part of the traditional Greek Orthodox e‑ortologio that records the memorials of saints and special observances each day.
