Archbishop Józef Guzdek defends parental rights in education
Archbishop Józef Guzdek addressed the importance of parental rights and moral education during a recent homily. Referencing the upbringing of Jesus, the Metropolitan emphasized that while schools provide intellectual development, the primary responsibility for the moral and religious formation of children rests with parents.
Guzdek highlighted that according to the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, parents have the right to raise their children according to their own convictions. He stated that no one should be allowed to limit this fundamental right or impose an upbringing model that parents do not accept.
The Archbishop also commended teachers and educators for their role in guiding the younger generation, noting the importance of maintaining moral independence and integrity in the educational process.
