Archbishop Paolo Rudelli to lead Polish Mass at St. John Paul II's tomb

Archbishop Paolo Rudelli, the Substitute for General Affairs of the Secretariat of State, will preside over a Polish Mass at the tomb of St. John Paul II in the Vatican Basilica on Thursday, September 17.

Archbishop Rudelli, who previously served at the Apostolic Nunciature in Warsaw from 2003 to 2006 and is proficient in Polish, holds one of the most significant positions in the Vatican administration. The weekly Thursday Masses at the tomb of St. John Paul II are attended by Polish residents in Rome and visiting pilgrims, an initiative originally started by Cardinal Konrad Krajewski.
