Archbishop Wojciech Polak celebrates 700th anniversary of Szadłowice parish
Archbishop Wojciech Polak, the Primate of Poland, delivered a homily during the 700th-anniversary celebrations of the St. Bartholomew parish in Szadłowice. During the event, which took place on October 16, the Archbishop emphasized the importance of building a community based on brotherhood and faithfulness to Christ.
Reflecting on the historical significance of the date, which also marks the 48th anniversary of the election of Karol Wojtyła as Pope, Archbishop Polak quoted Pope John Paul II’s request to his compatriots to remain faithful to the Church and its shepherds. He called for a responsibility toward one another to ensure that no member of the community feels excluded or rejected, but is instead met with understanding and love.
