Archdiocese of Toledo begins second year of XXVI Diocesan Synod
The Archdiocese of Toledo has officially commenced the second year of the XXVI Diocesan Synod. The launch event, held at the San Julián parish and the Ntra. Sra. de los Infantes diocesan college, brought together approximately 500 participants for the start of the new pastoral course.
During the gathering, Archbishop Francisco Cerro Chaves led a period of prayer and meditation, emphasizing the theme ‘You have words of eternal life’ and calling for Christ to be the center of pastoral action. Enrique del Álamo, the episcopal vicar for laity, family, and life, presented the working materials for this second year of the synodal itinerary. The session included a review of the first year's progress and the conclusions from the general assembly held in June. The upcoming work will focus on the method of ‘judging in a Christian key,’ utilizing the Word of God and Church Magisterium as guides for discernment across five thematic axes.
