Archewell documentary ‘Cookie Queens’ sees weak US box office debut
The documentary ‘Cookie Queens’, the first film produced under Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell banner, has reported a weak opening at the US box office. During its first week, the film earned $354,262 across 446 theaters.
Directed by Alysa Nahmias, the film follows four young women participating in a Girl Scouts cookie sales competition. Despite its wide release, the documentary was outperformed in revenue by the British film biography ‘Tony’, which earned more despite playing in only six theaters. Additionally, the film faced competition from ‘CatVideoFest 2026’, a program featuring internet videos and animations.
While the documentary does not focus on the British Royal Family, the subject matter holds personal significance for Meghan Markle.
