Archie Rose Distilling Co. Achieves Certified B Corporation Status
Archie Rose Distilling Co., a Sydney‑based producer of whiskies and gins founded in 2014, has been awarded Certified B Corporation™ status after a rigorous assessment covering governance, workers, community, environment and customers. The certification recognises the company's inclusive hiring practices, cross‑functional training, study leave, bonus scheme and team programmes, as well as its environmental initiatives such as recycling, wastewater management, use of recycled orange peel in gin and vodka, provision of spent grain for cattle feed, and the substitution of native stringybark timber for imported peat.
Founder Will Edwards said the B Corp mark reflects a 12‑year journey to create high‑quality Australian spirits using locally grown ingredients while supporting growers, employees and the wider community. Archie Rose also completed a transition in 2021 to source 100 % of its whisky malts locally, enhancing biodiversity and water efficiency. The B Corp logo will appear on its products from late 2026.
