Architect Enrique Barroso de la Puerta dies in Seville

Architect Enrique Barroso de la Puerta has passed away in Seville at the age of 83. His death comes just ten months after the passing of his wife and professional partner, Pilar Recasens Lucas de Tena.

The couple was highly regarded in the Sevillian architectural community, having collaborated on significant projects such as the smart building in Isla de la Cartuja and the Hermandad del Rocío chapel in the Triana neighborhood. Beyond their professional contributions, the pair shared interests in flamenco and bullfighting, and managed a long-standing family estate in Osuna known as ‘La Romera’.

His daughter, Consuelo Barroso, a singer and physician, shared a public tribute to her father on social media, reflecting on their family bond following the recent loss of both parents.
