Architect Simone de Gale convicted of drunken assault on flight

Architect Simone de Gale, 44, has been convicted of four offences following a drunken outburst on a Virgin Atlantic flight from Dubai to London in February. The incident occurred when de Gale was asked by cabin crew to avoid walking through an aisle where a nine-month-old baby was sleeping.

During the confrontation, de Gale reportedly launched a profanity-laced tirade, telling a flight attendant, “I’m an architect and you’re just a f—king air hostess.” Witnesses and prosecutors stated she also accused the crew of racism, jabbed a crew member in the chest, and grabbed her clothing. Passengers reported that she boasted about her wealth, telling staff, “I earn lots of money, you’re poor.”

De Gale was found guilty at Ealing Magistrates’ Court of assault, being drunk on an aircraft, and using threatening or abusive behavior toward crew members. She failed to attend her court hearing, and authorities have issued a warrant for her arrest as she remains at large.
