Pinamar inaugurates municipal pathology laboratory

Pinamar has inaugurated its first and only municipal Pathology Laboratory at the Primary Health Care Center (CAPS). The facility features renovated installations and equipment provided by the Macchiavello Foundation and the 'Donde Quiero Estar' Foundation.

Health Secretary Dr. Florencia Vivero stated that the laboratory will allow for local processing of tissue samples, such as biopsies, reducing the previous dependence on facilities in Mar del Plata. While complex molecular studies or specific hormone receptor tests will still be referred to specialized centers, the new lab aims to accelerate diagnostic times and provide local medical teams with essential tools for the timely detection and treatment of various pathologies.
