Architectural heritage and restoration projects highlighted

The Casa Quiñónez, a historic residence built in 1918, features neoclassical elegance and Art Nouveau details. Located in a historic center, the property formerly belonged to Dr. Alfonso Quiñónez Molina, who served as president of the Republic between 1914–1915 and 1918–1919. Despite decades of neglect, the building retains significant architectural elements, including four Corinthian-style pillars measuring five to six meters in height and ornamental ironwork.

In Spain, a 169-square-meter apartment from 1900 on Calle Serrano has undergone a comprehensive renovation. Designed by Estudio Hilera, the project aimed to restore the property's original charm by increasing natural light and reorganizing small, dark rooms into an open-plan living area. The interior design combines original architectural moldings with mid-century modern aesthetics and custom-made furniture.
