Architectural projects redefine private spaces for living and culture
Architects Elena Moreno and Jorge Prieto, founders of the Madrid-based studio HASS, have completed their first major project: the transformation of a 75-square-meter tourist apartment into a functional live-work loft. Located 30 minutes from Madrid, the project focuses on optimizing a high-volume space by prioritizing natural light and views of the surrounding countryside. The design integrates a stainless steel kitchen with iconic Flos Mayday lighting, utilizing double-height spaces to create a cohesive environment for both private life and professional practice.
In a separate architectural development, the studio ETEREO has launched ORBITA, an international project designed to transform private residences into immersive cultural destinations. The initiative debuts in Venice at Palazzo Ca’ Donà, a historic palace currently undergoing restoration. The project functions as a traveling curatorial platform, blending contemporary art, collectible design, and site-specific installations within historically significant spaces to create narrative-driven visitor experiences.
