Architectural renovations focus on space optimization and integration

Recent architectural projects highlight diverse strategies for optimizing urban living spaces through functional zoning and integrated layouts.

In a 56-square-meter duplex renovation near Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima, architect Natália de Souza of ResiliArt Arquitetura focused on maximizing habitability for rental investment. The design utilizes a double-height ceiling to create volumetric amplitude and employs a neutral color palette with materials such as polished São Gabriel granite, wood laminates, and gold-finished metal details. The layout features a U-shaped kitchen and continuous cabinetry to optimize circulation and organization.

Separately, architect Rafaela Giudice of BESPOKE Dela completed the ‘Projeto Amoroso,’ a renovation of a 120-square-meter village house. The project aimed to eliminate compartmentalization by creating connected spaces that favor family interaction. Key features include the preservation of original exposed brick walls, the installation of folding windows to increase natural light, and the use of light-toned custom cabinetry to enhance the sense of depth and fluidity within the home.
