Architecture Day 2026 festivals announced for Malacky and Nymburk

The Architecture Day 2026 festival will feature various programs across Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

In Malacky, Slovakia, events scheduled from October 1 to 6 include an exhibition of student works from the VŠVU Atelier 2 KAT titled ‘TOTEM’, focusing on city entrance objects. The program also features a presentation on the ‘Mayer’ project, a new multifunctional district designed by architect Boris Hrbáň to integrate socially and environmentally with the landscape. Additionally, historian Martin Macejko will lead a session on the development of the Malacky Synagogue.

In Nymburk, Czech Republic, the festival includes an exhibition at the Municipal Library showcasing urban planning and architectural projects from the partner city of Neuruppin, Germany. The exhibition highlights Neuruppin’s approach to public space development and citizen involvement. Other activities in Nymburk include a workshop for families and children focused on designing homes and libraries, as well as an exhibition of selected buildings from the Czech Architecture Award.
