Architecture exhibitions and festivals announced in Spain and Brazil
Several architectural events and exhibitions are scheduled across Spain and Brazil. In Barcelona, the 17th edition of the 48h Open House BCN festival will take place on October 24 and 25. The event features over 200 free activities, opening the doors of 217 buildings to the public, including the Llotja de Mar and the Torre de la Creu. The festival aims to highlight the role of architecture in urban life through heritage, rehabilitation, and contemporary design.
In Brazil, the architectural studio Biselli Katchborian is celebrating 40 years of activity with an exhibition at the Centro Universitário Senac – Santo Amaro. Founded in 1986 by Mario Biselli and Artur Katchborian, the studio's work spans various scales and programs within Brazilian architecture. The exhibition explores the processes behind their projects and how architecture interacts with social and economic transformations.
Additionally, an exhibition focused on brutalism, titled ‘Coruña brutalista’, has opened in Spain as part of Architecture Week and will remain open until November 1.
