Archivio Zeta to End Performances at Passo della Futa Cemetery

The Italian theatre company Archivio Zeta, founded by Gianluca Guidotti and Enrica Sangiovanni, has presented summer productions at the German war cemetery on the Passo della Futa in the Tuscan‑Emilian Apennines since 2003. The German war‑graves organization Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge announced that the 2024 season will be the last, with final shows of Franz Kafka’s *Il Processo* scheduled through 23 August.

The decision follows criticism from cemetery staff and families of the fallen who object to using the memorial site as a theatrical venue. Archivio Zeta warned that the closure threatens its work, the local cultural ecosystem and the tourism that draws thousands of spectators each summer.
