Archäologiepark Höxter launches digital sustainability rally

The Archäologiepark Höxter has launched a sustainability rally designed as a digital scavenger hunt for visitors. The activity utilizes geocaching methods where participants scan QR codes on ten colorful nesting boxes distributed across the three-hectare site near the Corvey World Heritage site.

Scanning a code provides informative text and a question regarding topics such as walkable cities, temperature increases, waste separation, eco-friendly heating, or species extinction. Correct answers provide the GPS coordinates required to locate the next nesting box via maps. The initiative was originally conceived by Ralf Haffke in collaboration with students from a vocational gymnasium.
