Arcángel and Valeria Castro headline upcoming Spanish music events
Singer Arcángel is scheduled to perform 'La copla del cante' at the Teatro Lope de Vega on September 17 as part of the XXIV Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla. The performance serves as a tribute to the era of Flamenco Opera, specifically drawing inspiration from legendary figures such as Pepe Marchena, Manolo Caracol, Pepe Pinto, Canalejas, and La Paquera de Jerez. The Bienal, running from September 9 to October 3, 2026, focuses on this period when flamenco transitioned from small cafés to large theaters and bullrings.
Additionally, singer-songwriter Valeria Castro will perform at the Tío Pepe Festival in Jerez on August 10 at the Bodega Las Copas de González Byass. Performing as part of her 'El cuerpo después de todo' tour, Castro's work is characterized by an emphasis on human connection and emotional honesty, contrasting the fast-paced nature of modern life through her musical style.
