Arco, Italy to host World Climbing Youth Championship 2026
From 18 to 25 July 2026 the Arco Climbing Stadium in Trentino will hold the World Climbing Youth Championship. The event will feature 725 athletes from 68 delegations, plus coaches and support staff, totaling over 960 participants. Competitions will cover Lead, Speed and Boulder across Under‑19 and Under‑17 categories. The venue, part of the Federal Technical Centre FASI, includes a new photovoltaic system to showcase sustainability. Italy will be represented by 28 climbers and 11 staff members, aiming to make the most of a home‑ground World Championship.
The championship is expected to draw significant public interest with free admission, live streaming and a dedicated village for athletes, families and fans, highlighting the region’s growing role in international climbing.
