Arcom investigates Mym over potential minor protection failures

The French media and digital regulator, Arcom, has launched an investigation into the France-based platform Mym regarding potential violations of European regulations. The probe focuses on whether the service adequately protects minors from accessing adult and sexual content, specifically examining the effectiveness of its age-verification procedures.

Arcom is also investigating the platform's transparency under the European Digital Services Act. The regulator is reviewing whether Mym’s terms of service are incomplete and whether the platform sufficiently explains its content recommendation algorithms, which determine how posts gain reach and visibility. Mym has been requested to provide information within 15 days to assist in the inquiry.
