Arcos de la Frontera hosts first historic Procesión Magna

Arcos de la Frontera held its first 'Procesión Magna' in the Sierra de Cádiz region to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the local Council of Brotherhoods and Confraternities. The historic event featured eleven religious images and various musical bands from across Andalusia.

The procession began at 17:00 at the Basílica de Santa María, with the images following a chronological sequence of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Christ. The parade included Cristo Rey, Prendimiento, Atado a la Columna, Tres Caídas, Santa Mujer Verónica, Jesús Nazareno, Santísimo Cristo del Perdón, Vera Cruz, Quinta Angustia, Santo Sepulcro, and Nuestra Señora de los Dolores.

Participants followed a common route through the historic center via Deán Espinosa, Corredera, Muñoz Vázquez, and San Miguel streets before returning to their respective temples. The event, attended by Almudena Martínez, President of the Provincial Deputation of Cádiz, concluded in the early hours of Sunday morning.
