Arcos Dorados boosts youth employment and runs McDonald's in 21 Latin American markets

Arcos Dorados, the world’s largest independent McDonald’s franchise, released its 2025 Social Impact and Sustainable Development Report. In Argentina the company created 13,246 training and job opportunities during the past year, employing more than 14,000 people, 61.3% of whom are under 24. Initiatives such as the MCampus Comunidad platform, disability inclusion and volunteer programs are highlighted.

The franchise is led by Colombian entrepreneur Woods Staton, who now oversees McDonald’s operations in 21 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. Arcos Dorados runs 2,520 restaurants – 1,800 directly owned and 720 franchised – and reported revenue of US$4.678 billion in 2025, a 4.7% increase over the previous year. In Colombia the chain operates 74 outlets, while its regional presence includes Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Panama and many other markets, except Brazil.
