Arcserve launches ransomware response services for SMEs

Arcserve has introduced two new subscription tiers, Core and Pro, designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) manage ransomware threats. The Core package integrates UDP Premium data backup with immutable cloud storage, AI-driven anomaly detection, and automated recovery testing. The Pro tier adds disaster recovery runbooks and a Rapid Ransomware Response Service, which guarantees that a technical coordinator will respond to a reported incident within 30 minutes, 24/7.

This development comes amid rising cybersecurity risks for German SMEs. Data from the Federal Ministry of the Interior shows that ransomware attacks increased by 10 percent in 2025, with over 1,000 reported incidents. Experts note a significant gap in corporate preparedness: while a 2025 TÜV Cybersecurity study found that 91 percent of companies rate their cybersecurity as good or very good, only 22 percent have conducted emergency drills in the last 24 months. This lack of practical testing leaves many organizations vulnerable when technical defenses fail.
