ARD releases new series ‘Selling Sex’ about sex work

The ARD is releasing a new six-part series titled ‘Selling Sex’, which explores themes of female self-determination through the lens of sex work. The story follows Nelly, a business student played by Ella Morgen, who decides to leave her low-paying job as a waitress to join an escort service under the pseudonym Aurora.

Driven by the need to repay student loans and improve her living situation, the series depicts how Nelly’s life changes through her new profession. The production focuses on her experiences and motivations rather than romance, though it includes a subplot involving a fellow worker named Ben. The series consists of six 25-minute episodes and is scheduled to air on ARD starting August 28.
