Ardú secures spot on The Voice UK

Irish a cappella ensemble Ardú has secured a place in the ‘Battle Rounds’ of The Voice UK after a successful blind audition. The six-piece group, consisting of Filip Klubička, Sorcha Fenlon, Kevin Sheedy, Victoria Warwick, Andy Dempsey, and Judith Lyons, performed a mashup of Doechii’s ‘Anxiety’ and Gotye’s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’.

Their performance earned a chair turn from judge Will.i.am. As a six-member ensemble, Ardú is noted as the largest act to ever compete on the UK version of the series. The group will now compete against another contestant for a spot in the semi-finals.

Ardú has previously appeared on BBC Radio Ulster and RTÉ lyric fm, where they won the 2018 Best Choir at the Choirs for Christmas competition. They also previously competed in the Sky One competition Sing: Ultimate A Cappella in 2017.
