ARD to broadcast major Christmas singing event from Düsseldorf
The ARD is planning a major primetime television event titled ‘O du fröhliche - Deutschland singt!’ to be broadcast live on December 23 at 20:15. The show aims to bring the tradition of Christmas singing in sports stadiums to a national television audience, creating a shared experience for viewers at home.
The central location for the event will be the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf. The program features a variety of musical acts, including pop star Sarah Connor and opera tenor Jonas Kaufmann.
