Arda Güler shows improved efficiency at Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler is demonstrating significant statistical improvements during the 2026/27 season. The 21-year-old Turkish international has recorded a goal involvement every 76 minutes across ten appearances, contributing two goals and five assists. This marks a substantial increase in efficiency compared to previous seasons, where his goal involvement rate averaged between 129 and 163 minutes.

Güler has also become a primary driver of Real Madrid’s crossing game. He currently leads La Liga with 17 successful crosses, maintaining a 53.1% accuracy rate. This performance has contributed to Real Madrid ranking fourth in the league for successful crosses per match, their highest level of crossing efficiency since the 2020/2021 season.

His rising profile at the club also nears a financial milestone for his former team, Fenerbahçe. A clause in his 2023 transfer agreement stipulates a €2 million bonus once he reaches 125 competitive appearances for Real Madrid. Having currently played 122 matches, Güler is three appearances away from triggering this payment, which would bring the total proceeds from his transfer to €30 million.
