ARDA hosts international forum to advance Thai agricultural innovation

The Agricultural Research Development Agency (ARDA) hosted the ARDA Agricultural International Forum 2026 under the theme ‘Global Agricultural Outlook’. Held during the Toyota Farm Expo Asia 2026, the event served as a platform for government representatives, the private sector, international organizations, and academics to discuss global agricultural challenges.

Key topics included food security, climate change, AI technology, and production innovation. Dr. Thaweesak Thanadechopol, Director of ARDA, emphasized the goal of transforming knowledge into practical application by linking technology and international networks to enhance the potential of Thai farmers and businesses.

Additionally, the Department of Agriculture highlighted the transition toward a sustainable global food system through digital innovations. These include E-Phyto (electronic phytosanitary certificates), QR Traceability, and Digital GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) to increase transparency and build international confidence in Thai agricultural products.
