Arda Kardzhali beat Botev Plovdiv 2‑1 in the 34th round of the Bulgarian First League, with both goals scored by Jalal Husseinov. The victory lifted the team's confidence, according to Arda manager Alexander Tunchov, who said they restored the self‑esteem lost in recent matches and kept their chance of finishing fifth and qualifying for Europe alive.

Botev coach Lachezar Baltanov acknowledged the defeat, describing it as a third consecutive playoff loss caused by unacceptable errors, accumulated fatigue and a few injuries during the game. He pointed to missed opportunities, including a penalty, and highlighted the potential of young striker Carlos Meoti despite his late arrival to the squad. Arda will now face Lokomotiv Plovdiv and Cherno More in the final two fixtures, while Botev looks to regroup for the season’s end.
