Arda Turan leads Shakhtar Donetsk to historic Champions League win

Arda Turan secured his first UEFA Champions League victory as Shakhtar Donetsk manager, defeating AEK Athens 3-1 at Stamford Bridge. Despite trailing 1-0 following a goal by Lovro Majer, Shakhtar responded with a penalty from Pedrinho and late goals from Vinícius Tobias and Gleiker Mendoza.

This victory marks a historic milestone for Shakhtar Donetsk, as they became the first Ukrainian team to win a match played in England. For Turan, the win at Stamford Bridge—a stadium where he previously experienced success as a player—represents a significant professional achievement.
