Ardèche crop losses recognized for National Solidarity Indemnity

The Commission for the Orientation and Development of Insurances Guaranteeing Damage Caused to Crops (CODAR) has issued a favorable opinion regarding the recognition of crop losses under the National Solidarity Indemnity (ISN) for 98 communes in the Ardèche department.

The recognition follows storm and hail damage occurring between May and July 2026. Affected agricultural sectors include arboriculture (cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums, and almonds), small red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, currants, and gooseberries), market gardening (various vegetables including potatoes, tomatoes, and melons), and other productions such as lavender and various herbs.

Individual compensation claims can only be submitted after the end of the production season. For certain other recognized losses, including those related to drought or specific crops like squash, vines, and olives, a separate electronic declaration period will be opened later.
