Arde Bogotá releases new album with homecoming concert in Cartagena
The Spanish rock band Arde Bogotá has released its third studio album, ‘Manufacturas del Club de la Gente Sola’ (MCGS), produced by Joe Chiccarelli at EastWest studios in Los Angeles. The eleven-track album explores themes of solitude, emotional protection, and the uncertainties facing the current generation.
To mark the release, the Cartagena-based group chose their hometown for a premiere concert at the Patio del Antiguo Cuartel de Instrucción de Marinería (CIM). The free event was part of the ‘Campus Radio 3’ initiative, organized by Radio 3, the Cartagena City Council, and the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT). The performance drew over 1,200 attendees and was broadcast via RTVE Play.
Band members Antonio García, Dani Sánchez, José Ángel Mercader, and Pepe Esteban noted that the new work is more introspective and darker than their previous success, ‘Cowboys de la A3’. The band highlighted the connection between their music and the social realities of their generation, including issues such as housing precariousness.
