Long‑running ARD entertainment show "Immer wieder sonntags" will air its final season in 2026, ending a run of more than three decades and 370 episodes. The decision was announced by SWR citing economic pressures, describing it as a painful but necessary break.

During the penultimate live broadcast on 14 June, host Stefan Mross stumbled over his cue cards, repeatedly searching for the names of scheduled guests. He managed to name the band Höhner and singer Eva Luginger but admitted that the remaining entries were missing, saying “steht hier nicht”. The on‑air mishap highlighted the production challenges as the programme prepares for its final farewell.
