Areial holds traditional Passion of Christ reenactment

The City Hall of Areial held the traditional reenactment of ‘The Passion of Christ’ on Wednesday and Sunday. The project, which returned to the municipal event calendar last year, aims to preserve local cultural and religious traditions.

The performance utilized original scripts, casting, and characterization to convey themes of spirituality and reflection. Originally scheduled for Monday, the event was postponed due to heavy rainfall in the region to ensure public participation and production quality. The production was a collaborative effort involving the Secretariat of Social Assistance, the Secretariat of Youth, Sport and Culture, and the São José Parish of Areial.
