I. League increases Super League subsidies to Rp27 billion

As the 2026/2027 Super League approaches, PT Liga Indonesia Baru (I. League) has announced an increase in club subsidies from Rp19 billion to Rp27 billion per club. I. League Director Ferry Paulus stated that while the U-23 player mandate has been removed, clubs will now receive incentives based on the minutes played by young players to encourage talent development.

Football clubs are actively preparing for the new season. Arema FC recently held a closed-door training session against Deltras Sidoarjo at Kanjuruhan Stadium, resulting in a 2-0 victory for Arema. The club also confirmed the permanent departure of Brazilian striker Joel Vinicius to adjust their squad composition. Meanwhile, Garudayaksa FC has strengthened its attack by signing Mexican striker Brian Rubio.

In other developments, Kanjuruhan Stadium has passed a re-risk assessment with a score of 87.19, declaring it ready for use. Additionally, the I. League has rescheduled the high-profile Persija Jakarta vs. Persib Bandung match to the second week of the competition to better accommodate venue and security logistics in the capital.
