Arena Barradão renovation scheduled to begin in January 2027

Construction for the transformation of the Manoel Barradas Stadium into Arena Barradão is scheduled to begin in late January 2027. Following the acquisition of necessary environmental licenses, the club Vitória and engineering firm SD Plan are moving forward with the remodeling project.

The restructuring involves a 35-year concession to SD Plan and an estimated investment of R$ 405 million by the SD Arenas consortium, comprising SD Plan and Grupo AR. The project aims to convert the venue into a multipurpose complex capable of hosting football matches, musical concerts, and cultural events.

Key upgrades include increasing stadium capacity from 30,793 to 40,597 seats and expanding the number of luxury boxes from 20 to 116. The complex will also feature new restaurants, a museum, and commercial areas. The construction phase is expected to last approximately three years, pending the issuance of a building permit from the Salvador City Hall.
