Perugia Calcio set for takeover by Alessandro Gaucci’s Arena Curi group
AC Perugia Calcio is nearing a full ownership transfer to the Arena Curi consortium led by former player Alessandro Gaucci. The group, which includes local investors Mauro Ricci and Claudio Sciurpa, has reached a preliminary agreement to acquire 100 % of the club’s sporting branch. The proposed deal adds roughly €2 million to the earlier offer that only covered the club’s debts, and it is expected to be finalized within weeks.
The consortium aims to appoint Gaucci as club president and possibly also sporting director, while retaining current general manager Hernán Borras to ensure continuity. Former professional players Faouzi Ghoulam and Kalidou Coulibaly are reported to back the investment, and an international fund may provide additional financing at closing. The transaction is still subject to economic‑financial and procedural approvals before a formal contract is signed.
