Arena Națională to resume football matches from September 14
Arena Națională in Bucharest is set to resume hosting football matches starting September 14, following a period of unavailability due to various concerts and festivals. The Bucharest City Hall announced that work has begun to replace the playing surface with 8,500 square meters of hybrid grass, a process costing approximately 2 million lei. The cost of the replacement is covered by event organizers.
The first scheduled match at the stadium upon its reopening is a SuperLiga fixture between FCSB and Petrolul on September 14. Other clubs, including Dinamo, are also expected to return to the venue in the coming weeks.
Additionally, the Romanian Football Federation has released tickets for the upcoming international match between Romania and Sweden, scheduled for October 5 at Arena Națională. This match marks the first official home game for the national team under the management of Gheorghe Hagi. Ticket prices range from 50 to 130 lei, with special rates available for children and youth.
