Arenal Sound festival refunds wristband balances, reports worker death

The Arenal Sound music festival in Burriana, Spain, has opened a refund window for cashless wristband balances. Attendees who recharged more than they spent between 30 July and 2 August 2026 can request a refund online from 5 August 2026 00:00 until 4 September 2026 23:59. Only the actual money loaded onto the wristband is refundable; promotional credits are excluded.

On the festival's final day, a male employee suffered a fainting episode before the gates opened. He was taken to Hospital La Plana in Villarreal, where he later died. The festival issued a statement expressing condolences and continued with the scheduled performances after the incident.
