Arendalsuka hosts youth political debates and rights dialogues

During the Arendalsuka event, several youth-focused political and social discussions are scheduled. Amedia and NRK will host a youth party leader debate featuring nine leaders, five of whom are participating for the first time. The debate will utilize a new format and focus on themes of immigration, integration, and youth challenges such as unemployment and the housing market.

In conjunction with the UN International Youth Day, a dialogue is organized between youth representatives from Norway, Kenya, Uganda, and Malawi and Norwegian Development Minister Åsmund Grøver Aukrust. The discussion, hosted by the international SRHR network and Sex og Politikk, addresses the global crisis regarding sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The event aims to explore how Norway's development policy can support youth rights, equality, and access to healthcare amidst increasing global challenges to civil liberties.
