Arequipa candidate submits unedited AI-generated government plan

Pedro Edwin Martínez Talavera, the Acción Popular candidate for the Regional Government of Arequipa, submitted a 27-page government plan for the 2027-2030 period that appears to have been generated using artificial intelligence without sufficient editing.

The document contains unremoved AI instructions, specifically noting that a “fifth delivery” would be required to complete a 50-page base structure. The text also suggests incorporating statistical diagnostics, investment amounts, and technical annexes in future versions. Despite these procedural errors, the plan outlines ambitious goals, including 50-year water security, the intervention of 1,500 kilometers of roads, and the development of the Corío megaport.
