Arequipa police investigate explosive attack on residence

Police in Arequipa, Peru, are investigating an explosive attack on a residence in the Miraflores district. Security footage from the Chapi Chico neighborhood captured a hooded man and woman walking in front of the home. The footage shows a woman in a gray tracksuit stopping to ignite an explosive device and throw it against the property.

The detonation caused damage to the home’s gates, windows, and a family vehicle, as well as material damage to neighboring houses. The residents reported they had not received any prior threats or messages regarding extortion. Authorities are working to identify the suspects and determine the motive behind the attack.
