ARF Youth addresses regional security at IUSY conference

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Youth participated in the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) Balkan Round Table and Black Sea Area Committee held in Skopje, North Macedonia, from September 10 to 13, 2026. Under the theme ‘Organize, Mobilize, Democratize: Progressive Youth Against Authoritarianism,’ the conference brought together young leaders from socialist and social democratic organizations.

Representing the ARF Youth, Syuneh Kevorkian addressed regional security and democratic backsliding. Kevorkian highlighted human rights concerns, specifically calling for the release of Armenian hostages and prisoners of war held in Baku. She also addressed Azerbaijani military incursions into Armenian territory and advocated for the right of return for the indigenous Armenian population of Artsakh. Additionally, she emphasized the importance of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide as a preventative measure against future atrocities.
