Argeș religious services held at Rociu and Robaia Monastery
Various religious services and commemorations took place in the Argeș region of Romania. At the Ciuciți Șerbănești Parish Church in Rociu, a group of eight priests officiated the ‘Sfântul Maslu’ service during the Dormition of the Mother of God, attended by hundreds of believers.
At the Robaia Monastery, celebrations were held to honor Saint Pafnutie Pârvu Zugravul. The service, officiated by Calinic Argeșeanul alongside a group of priests and deacons, included a memorial service for the monastery's former residents. The event also marked nine years since the local proclamation of the saint's canonization. Pafnutie Pârvu Zugravul, born in 1659, was a renowned church painter of the Cantacuzino and Brâncoveanu eras, known for his work at the Aninoasa and Cotroceni monasteries.
